1. Be able to act and use body language to demonstrate the meaning of a word.
2. Remember to start a lesson with a topic that interests your learner.
3. Start teaching nouns, pronouns, and adjectives. Learning these words first will make easy understanding of the verbs later.
4. Use media in the classroom or at home. This enables teacher/parents to use few words.
5. Use pictures to ease comprehension.
6. After teaching for a while regroup your learners based on their performance.
7. Use the language of your learner when necessary. (Translation)
8. Use deductive reasoning or top-down approach when teaching grammar. This means to teach the concepts from general to more specific. Do not start with definitions. This will annoy your young learner.
9. Build confidence in your learner. Motivate your learner to speak and never say the word "incorrect". Always repeat the pronunciation of the word correctly. Your learner will listen and repeat the word. Remember mistakes should be made in order to be corrected and improve language learning.
10. Like I always say: "Practice is perfection!"
Not only learners but also teacher should repeat his lesson at least two times in the class. Every sentence he speaks should speak two times with intervals or continuously. This repetition will make the learner expert and would produce in him the language skills.
